LIVING STRUCTURE
The collection "Living Structure" is inspired by the sculptural volume of Zaha Hadid’s architecture. By introducing thermoplastic yarn and Ron Resch's folding principle, a method of origami tessellations. I was exploring the architecture and flexible, yet simple as this negative and positive spacing is created by the angled texture of basic stitches. Creating a continuous three-dimensional surface structure.
I played with the flexibility to create curved shapes, echoing the work of Zaha Hadid's, and transformed streamline elements into patterns. Hoping the collection not just only present sculptural, but also feminine. In addition to the gradient achromatic color tone and linear line pattern, the computer knitting "fashioning technique" makes the clothes more sleek and modern.
